I was talking to my wife about this and both of us were sort of laughing. The funny part is she is korean (born and raised) and has slanted eyes.
She asked me why people were upset and then said "how is is racist"... to my surprise I didn't really have an answer. I've alwasy been told it's racist, but didn't have a clear answer to why... She did mention other Korean people were offended, but she didn't see the reason. Seems like people just being uptight about offending everyone.
In the end it doesn't offend me. It seems about the same as making fun of "Engrish".
