If you have FontLab/Fontographer and the letters are already done in Illustrator, creating a typeface might take only a few hours... depends on how many characters you want to have ready for typing/your client needs (i.e. only upper case oder both upper & lower case, punctuation marks – which and how many, numbers, etc.), the quality of the result might be arguable... might turn out pretty shitty with awful kerning and so on...
