1) If I thought it would save me time or money, or make me more attractive to the opposite sex, or if it would improve one or more of my hobbies.
2) I couldn't care less about those ugly badges.
3) Of course. The more attractive the site, the more likely I am to want what they're selling.
4) Depends on the product. If I need toilet paper, I'll buy it wherever, right now. If it's a new guitar, color, fit, finish, reputation of dealer, reputation of product, ease of use, etc., etc., etc., until you're sick of the endless details that concern me come into play. And it could take me years to make up my mind.
