what camera are you using?
... Rand is right.. faster is better, and alot of the food stuff we shoot is also macro, or at least a lens that has macro available.. if you are shooting 35, I would go with a range between 18-80, 2.8 if you've got it....is it table top stuff, like a dish of food, or food items on a entire table?
