i would go get a baseball bat - or maybe a golf club - and set up a stand on the side of the street. charge people a couple bucks to take a swing at it. use the money you make for a replacement.
when i was a kid, i would go to the fair and for 2 dollars they would hand you a sledgehammer and you would get to go to town with a junked car for 5 minutes. life was good.
