I remember agonizing about getting a digital compact - I was all for the DP1 until the reviews came out. Now I use a Panasonic Lumix LX-2 i picked up used for $300 - it's got a decent-sized sensor chip for a compact. It can't match my Canon 30D of course, but I guess I'm satisfied with the results.
