threadpost put it well on the previous page, terry made this snapshot style what it is in fashion today.
he did have the connections (he's the son of Bob Richardson) and I too sometimes failed to fully appreciate his work BUT : i was hanging out with a friend doing her promo and photoshoots 3 days in a row, pretty shy and exhausted and she had a session with Terry for Rolling Stone on the last day.
Man.. he took the best shots hands down while dancing to the Cure's Love Cats, making her laugh and feel super comfortable, no fashion photographer BS like we had to deal with for the previous 2 days.That really opened my eyes. True talent that allows him to disregard (which i don't think he does) the technique.
- also he was super humble and friendly, simply introduced himself as "Terry", really a nice guy.spl33nidoru
