How do you load VSTs?

- I'm on a mac too, I have all of the plug ins in the VST folder, but how do you get them to work?JackRyan
- As far as I know VSTs don't work on Mac. Audio Units , or AU works on Mac. What DAW are you using?kern2burn
- Ableton, my friend gave them to me. And I just started using it, so I had no idea that VSTs were just for the PC.JackRyan
- Unfortunately (as far as I know) they're only for PC. No worries though.kern2burn
- Have you asked your friend if he / she has the Audio Units version of the plug-ins?kern2burn
- Once you figure out your plug-in situation, just look for the Ableton folder in your applications folder. There should be a "plug-ins" folder there.kern2burn
- should be a "plug-ins" folder there. After that, just drop your AUs in that folder. That should do it.kern2burn
- You'll probably have to restart Live before they propagate.kern2burn
