    I see. Well first of all, i think it's a bit disingenious to call the radical transformation of THE ENTIRE WORLD that Scotland orchestratd as "a bump".

    And the breaking up of heavy industry fucked the whole of the UK up except London and the home counties. Having grown up in the Bradford region with both Grandparents working the mills, i know how bleak the 80s were.

    I don't see how Scottish "nationalism" enters into the equaton. Because, well, the redevelopment that has happened there in the 90s/2000s has been massively beneficial to the scots, much of it subsidised by the South. Or am i wrong on that front as i've never been north of Blackpool?
