    another funny example, after the WWII, when Americans came to Japan to sell antidepressant drugs, they discovered that there was no word for depression in japanese. In the japanese concepts of Godai feeling sad was seen as a moment of contemplation of life,it didn't have the negative connotations we/they associate with depression today.
    so the whole concept needed to be invented and marketed under that new idea. successfully, antidepressants are a growing multibillion industry in Japan, and one out of 15 is not able to work at some point in life because of depression
