I never knew Adaptive Path actually designed and built stuff. I thought most of what they do is writing, research, and presenting at conferences with the occasional onsite training. Their case studies are full of experience strategy engagements but no builds--many of their samples are just wireframes.

There a bunch of experience design consultancies out there that are great but once you remove the creation of the end product, it is the onus of client to ensure tight alignment with the design. My experience has been that a lot is lost in translation.

From my understanding MySpace (Fox Interactive) didn't have a massive budget for this project and most of the work was being done internally.

    • I think someone else did the visual designukit
    • That wouldn't surprise me considering the poor quality of the rest of the Fox sites...jevad
