Not to brag, but I used to be the king of internet dating. Back in late 2001 to about 2003, mostly when I was unemployed due to the economy here in NYC being shit (due to you know what), I had a load of free time on my hands and used to flirt with girls on MakeOutClub en masse. Seriously. I used to chat with like 30 girls at the same time. I had this complex system for managing conversations as well as keeping notes on what I'm saying to whom at the moment, or what was said in previous conversations.
I didn't get laid left and right, but I got a decent amount of action, and even a steady girlfriend, though I had my fair share of awkward one date only's, as well as close calls with potential psychos. Thing is, I used to be super shy when it comes to girls, and the whole MOC experience helped me develop a wrap (as well as other things, such as confidence) that would be helpful in the real world later on.
The funny thing is, tons of people thought I was insane, and I guess internet dating was still a dirty little thing back then... and now all those folks are on OKCupid. How funny the world works.
Oh, I'm now buddies with the dude that created MOC. He claims I got laid more from it than him! Which is kinda strange considering A) he was the creator, and therefore spiritual leader and B) he had that emo looked that all the girlies loved back then. Maybe still do? I dunno.
