We just been talking about this at work and seemingly the best practice (for facists of the ilk) is to launch in the same window.
However, if you are going to launch in a blank window then you should tell the user that you are going to be opening a blank window when they click the link.
So you could have the link then under it have (Opens in new browser window).
Alright if you have a link at the end of your paragraph to launch the site but you cant really do that with links within sentences to highlight keywords and thus helping clients search engine ratings.
