    Cuba (Havana) is not that dangerous for tourists anymore. If you have common sense you should be ok with your camera. It's the cuban government you have to worry about jacking you with their imaginary world currency rates.

    If you go to the Hotel Nacional and walk up the hill on the main street around 10 blocks, all the university and kids hang out there on the weekend. The higher up you go the older the kids, partying dancing, passed out. You might want to get a local to show you around that though, pretty crazy. 1000's of people having fun.

    Don't walk into any bars the locals take you to pick your own, or you'll be paying for 400% tourist markup drinks for them since they are running some scam with the bartender they know.

    Overall Cubans are pretty cool people.

    Design wise there's tons of Art centers and artists near Old Havana
