if you are unemployed at the moment then spend your time doing some R&D work - learn some new shit. Create your own (or future companies website) make it absolutely kickass in any way you can. - dont copy a style or trend - try to think up something that you feel to be unique. You can use this site to then wow prospective clients, peers online (newstoday etc) maybe get a link in K10K to bring you a few thousand hits in a day. You might get in a magazine. It'll all add to your profile as a company.

Yellow pages advert might be good - but maybe only for local area only really.
think globally too - the web has made the world a smaller place.

I work for a small company greenparka.com we are the new media division of graphicpartners. We've been around for a year now and have already made a name for ourselves from the quality of our work, we've won a scottish design award for one of our sites and we are finalists in the 'design week' awards for best site.

If you work hard, put your all into it and have a passion for what you do - then it'll shine through.

    i gotta say 'tits' too

    ;)
