Despite the fact i think osX is a tad slower than 9, it is far more stable and you can do many things while a program starts up, also quit it if you opened it by mistake, there's no ATM and looks like it wont be, but there's Suitcase. Since Flash came out for osX I didnt have any more excuses to swap to X, all the other important software is already X. The only problem will be scanners. You'll probably have to use VueScan which is not the fastest software.
