Thanks for the input.
I had done some research and found you could get some land in the philippines, about 35K for 7.5 acres on the beach. Unfortunately I can't buy it. Trying to find some places a foreigner is wanted.
As far as my trip, I'm trying to figure a way to extend it. Maybe I'll just skip out on KL and Singapore and head over to whatever I can see in the Phillipines or Borneo, or maybe drop down to Bali or something, but that's pretty far off. Thanks for all of the advice and well wishes. I just bought myself a Powershot S400, if it doesn't get lost or stolen I'll post some pictures when I get back.
