Correct answer: it's not just your fault. Happens all the time that a client comes with loads of changes for yesterday or it's never happy and can't really find where the problem is and since your concept is quite strong you too can't find as well where is the problem. So you end up scraping parts trying to accommodate him
and bit by bit the projects transform itself in something different. Plus if the deadline is tight and the amends are a lot you end up with something totally messed up.
It's not your case, but just 2 days ago a client just decided that a project that went exactly that route won't go live. The reason? The imagery wasn't fit for the product as desired. But they signed off for the whole concept, storyboards and the imagery 2 months ago.
Who's the fault here?
