I was in Phan Ngan and Ko Samui in June - had a great time, not much happening on phan ngan, mainly pretentious traveller types showing off their celtic tattoos and comparing highly exaggerrated drug stories whilst simultaeneously hiding their public school upbringing. Ko Samui was great especially as it was quiet season. Avoid a town on the mainland called Chumpon, its shit. Thailand is cool.
