I watched the documentary Empire In Africa the other night... it really put a lot of shit into perspective. personally, I could care less about jewelry and have never owned a diamond in my life. I know other shit I own is just as worthless and in some cases just as damaging to human lives (car and other shit "made in <insert 3rd world country here>")
Also, why is the guy giving up 3 months of his salary?! That is insane... if marriage takes two, and considering that men and women are in the workplace these days I think it should be a co-operative effort for this ring thing... money really doesn't buy love, just hookers and shots of Wild Turkey
