    I personally like to dress nice, It is a matter of respect to the client I agree, if the client seems easy going I might go a little less formal next meeting.
    The way you dress doesn't tell someone you are creative and innovating, I know plenty of douche bags who think they are "it" for dressing crazy.

    Most respectable clients would appreciate someone who looks professional an presentable, after all they are trusting you with their project.

    • yes but package design helps when selling a product.
