Well, put it this way, with PCs you have access to all the latest components that you can mix and match how you please, and with a mac you get what they decide you can have.
PCs will always be faster and more powerful, because users have the option of putting whatever the hell they like in the box.
Until Apple release a mac box, I firmly believe it will stay this way.
But, depends what you need - macs are plenty powerful, there are loads of video editors who use them etc, it just depends what you want.
I am biased towards PC, because apple basically says pcs are a load of shit, but under the skin, it IS a pc..
I think apple have the upper hand when it comes to more intuitive software though, or at least the community or 'scene' is there for it. I'd only go mac for the software.
