For your informations:
Digital Video Format and IEEE 1394
Using MiniDV cassettes, audio and video are recorded digitally.
It features a DV terminal, also known as a FireWire terminal, which conforms to the IEEE 1394 standard.
Using this terminal, you CAN transfer digital video and audio to and from a computer equipped with a DV terminal, another DV camcorder, or a DV VCR.
