Honestly, it sounds like more trouble than it's worth.
She sounds like someone with the burden of both a highly developed social sense, which in experience can lead someone to be unwittingly manipulative in encouraging other people into her dramas.
And I don't mean dramas as in screaming hysterics, but dramas as in the same old situations that she sets up around herself to try and resolve whatever emotional issues she has, but somehow either bottles out of, or self-destructively blows apart just near some terrifying but necessary resolution.
I realise that I can't really draw those conclusions from the little you've written of her, but god darn it it sounds just like several women that I've known with whom I have become embroiled in the way I describe above, to my great confusion and pain.
As it happens, my wife is actually my best friend, Im really lucky - I don't know how I'd get by if it wasnt for her. It makes you realise how tortuous being single or unhappy can be.
Such lengthy enforced unhappiness can do horrible things to people, so be very guarded that you don't represent some way out for her, she might be a lunatic by now. You hardly know her, so throw the number away and just think of it with a mellowing curiosity before you see her face on the local news.
