Also, as far as food is concerned, if you like sea food at all, be prepared to swear it off your diet for the whole time you are there. No ocean is a days drive from there, and the fish that is available is largely overpriced, and mediocre. I would call the cuisine out there mediocre over all though, lots of deep fried things, and lots of just OK bar food to be found. Stick to the asian food out there if you go, thats the one thing STL really has going for it, tons of good asian food (cant eat that every day though...).
