    I got a canon 300d about 4 years ago.
    I use it quite often, and I still feel don't feel comfortable calling myself a photographer (and I was lucky enough to get published in a few music mags).

    I would like to get a better camera but the truth is, I still use $35 of my camera, I still don't know what everything does, and it's very often that I find myself discovering something new.

    I think when the discovering stage stops, then I will be ready for a better camera. My 300d is the initial step for anyone looking to learn how to use a digital SLR. I love it.

    Again, I'm not a photographer, I'm a designer that likes to shoot ;)
