I have to confess that my opinion of the Blunster was so incredibly low before Top Gear that I actually softened to him a tiny wee bit during his Top Gear appearance for his self effecing nature if nothing else. Its so easy to be self important in the pop trade (there seems to be an instant self-importance switch that gets clicked on the very moment a recording contract is signed), but to publicly accept with good grace and humour that people everywhere take the massive piss out of you and your music is admirable.
I doubt I'll be picking one of his products out of the 50p clearance bin anytime this century however.
