my 2 cents on james blunt:
I abhor his music, terrible, really awful, hideous voice, why anyone has every bought or listened to it is beyond me.
however...
The guy is extremely successful moreso than most of us will ever be. I read an interview with him and he said that he's given up caring what people think of him. He knows he's never going to be cool and the music press will always hate him, he's come to terms with that and knows that his audience of tweenagers and middle aged women will continue to buy his albums.
I was impressed with his attitude, he doesn't seem to have much of a chip on his shoulder.Also his performance on Sesame Street did help my opinion of him:

- I agree, even on the top gear clip clarkson asked about him taking the piss out of his own songs and he replies "yea have you heard them?"********
