... Except that you agreed to pay them the balance, thereby declaring, with your cash, that you trust them to approve the work themselves... unless I've misunderstood, but the way I have read it they called you up, said "we're finished, can we have ful payment?" and you said "Depends... do they look okay?" and they said "Yeah,m they look great" and you said "Okay then, if they look great, here's my payment".
If thats the case: I'm not saying you don't have a leg to stand on, but I am saying you've got a fight on your hands to get your money back.
