one time i worked at a candy store that had beanie babies during that whole peak of popularity. And this kid who was a known jerkoff decided to steal a box of them from the back of the store through the back door.
I caught word that he stole them and i stopped by his house after work and his mom answered. I told her i had speculation and i peeked in the back of his SUV and there was a box of beanie babies in there....she said that i planted them to get her son in trouble.
So i told here to wise up - "you're son is no fucking angel, he's caused shit in this neighborhood since were in elementary school...if you dont start facing the facts he'll land himself in jail in a couple years when he's 18"...my bet is he's in jail now.
