pretty sure that is too wide. i've had similar problems like that...but can't remember the exact width it went to shit.
you might just have to cut the image into thirds. make each a movieclip and have the clips attach to eachother via AS depending on the coordinates (ie. dragged clip_A 2880 then attach clip_B at clip_A's tail end x or y coord) if that makes sense.
