Actually August is one of the smartest designers I know....
If you think real design is just cool fonts in a nice grid layout, I'd study history and read up a bit more....also, people love to laugh if poeple at Microsoft use Macs (which I've seen at a few conferneces), but people forget Microsoft sells software, so if they're running Vista, MS still wins. Classic business model.
