the artist tries to get your attention by illustrating his point with a single example. but no-one sees longer than his own nose, and no-one seems to mention or care about the problem with the other thousands of stray dogs that starve and die.
its not that bad if we dont see it... or as long as we dont have to watch it?
its like you look in the mirror and say "who is this ugly mug, this is outrageous, lets find who made this mirror and showed it to me!".
in a way peoples reaction, uncovered shallowness of your souls, is part of the perfomance, and this thread is part of it
