hey eegrek, you can create the menu using CSS as and unordered list which places the images inline. The upside is that you get exactly the look the client wants while still getting a search-engine friendly nav. the downside is the time it takes which when you haven't done it before can be a little time consuming but once you get it takes no time at all.
