you got a point with the sub genre thing. for a while we (my dj crew, Dedication, from St. Louis) only booked the new hard stuff like in the graph, SPL, Limewax, Ewun, Tech Itch etc. Then all of a sudden attendance started falling off and we started booking the lighter side of dnb like Atlantic Connetion and Random Movement, stuff like that.
I think the hard stuff evolved so fast it became a niche thing for internet wankers and left the casual listeners behind (at least until dieselboy puts out another CD).
