Thanks for the link Gummo! I managed to get my hands on both of Polar Bears albums when they came out. It's a a shame that they went out of print almost immediately after they were released.
Eric Avery is the reason i started playing bass. While it's easy to replace him in a touring situation it's not the same thing when they are writing without him; you lose a part of the sound. He was the anchor that held it down so that the rest of the band could go off.
Perry Farrell is one the greatest frontmen ever but without Navarro, Avery and Perkins making the music he's just some babbling hippy flake.
