i just picked up the actionscript 3.0 cookbook...it's not bad for just jumping into as3 and finding solutions to things that you used to do with ease in as2 but are now scratching your head at with as3
i still plan on picking up essential actionscript 3.0 though. the actionscript 3.0 cookbook looked good because it provided quick solutions to some questions i had like - how do you make remoting connection in as3, how to load xml, etc...
