It's all very small and reminiscent of pre-millenial sites, when they were still into pixel fonts keeping widths inside a 780 width. Now, I couldn't really care less - you can do what you like, but if you want me to actually appreciate your work, I'd suggest making it so I don't need to squint so much. This goes especially for the intra-section nav and description - why on Gaia's sweet belly is it so itsybitsyteenieweenie and entrenched on the bottom of the nav side?
Personally, I'd take all the graphics out of the site - all the border=1 frames, all the compressed text and pixel icons - throw them out. Start from scratch, enlarge your images, get some readable flow to the page - nav in one section, content and descriptions in another - make it so that I don't have to think at all.
Also, I think you should be a bit more brutish in your choice of work - some pieces (I'm looking at you, 'currency' & 'positive response') do nothing but detract from the rest.
There's something about that Joan Bishop piece I really like - did you do the background yourself?
And please, I need to know moer about this 'Jewtopia' - that sounds like a lot of fun!
- "start from scratch". Hmm. Sorry, I don't think I intended to be that harsh..detritus
