    American's.

Why do you say "i could care less" when you mean to say "i couldn't care less"? Or "i would care less" when you mean to say "i wouldn't care less"?

Madirish - i'm looking at you

    • No, I "could" care less, and i "would" care less. it is an active, possessive statement. but thanks...madirish
    • you didnt hear? were a lazy bunch... we cant be expected to say all these syllables
      ********
    • you "would" care less... meaning you actually care something. Or you could care less, meaning the same.Khurram
    • couldn't and wouldn't are equally active and posessive. Only they have 'nt at the end. Thanks :-?Khurram
    • .....um, the point is "i could care less about it", as opposed to "i could not (n't) care less about it". get it?madirish
    • but you meant to say that you COULD NOT care less about your last meal you dafty!!! as in you dont care. :-/Khurram
    • but if you say you COULD care less about your last meal, means you care SOMETHIGN about it - seee????? God!Khurram
    • i did not mean to say that at all.
i meant to say exactly what i did.
      madirish
    • note 7 = failmadirish
    • So you meant to say "i would care about my last meal?" so why not just say that? Why say "i would care less"??Khurram
    • cos Americans are stoopit = success!Khurram
    • since when is it american's? although you are correct about the care less bit - it annoys me, too.paraselene
