... yes to all that, but you'll need to include a stage of colour adjustment in the action script. CMYK files don't convert back to the original RGB values, they're hugely desaturated. I would include a bit of levels adjustment - darks up, mids down a snadge - then a quick wibble on the old Saturation slider. To do a really good conversion you need to go from CMYK into LAB, make the necessary adustments there, and then on to RGB. LAB is a very neglected format these days.
