living in belfast i meet alot of americans who think they're 'irish' just cos their great-great-great-great brother in law's friend visited ireland many centuries ago.. and because of that they think they have some attachment to the country and therefore try to speak like us!

pathetic really but funny at the same time...

    • Yeah, Americans always seem to bang on about their Irish heratage even though it was like 10 generations ago and its mixed in with 10 different origins...kalkal

    • i know its pretty annoying how alot of americans wanna boast about their irish heritage which is non-existant.. alot of irish people i know dont give a shit but know we benefit from americans money so are happy to let them think what they want!forbes
    • I've known one Canadian to do this, and it was REALLY annoying. Can't imagine more of them.Jaline
