What about the standard Irish accents that american actors seem to think is authentic? The cork accents in Heroes was fucking deadful, James Cromwell in L.A. Confidential was shit as was the irish terrorists in sin city, devils own, etc etc. Irish accents in films usually make me cringe and completely ruin the suspension of disbelief.
We do not say 'laddie' 'boyo' or 'begorrah'.
