I think Hugh Laurie is my favourite. On TV though, I'm getting good at telling when nearly anyone else has an accent or are not from the same place as the other characters are.
Including: Colonel Tigh from BSG (he's from Canada), Chuck from "Pushing Daisies" (she's British), and Agent Walker from "Chuck" (Australia).
A lot of the time they tend to have a slight lisp or some strange (yet, endearing) quality that makes me suspicious of their country of origin.
