Turn on File Sharing on the Mac doing the sharing..
In Finder, Go > Connect to Server
enter IP address
other drive mounts on desktop
(assuming you have firewall set right, and port 548 forwarded to the Mac, if behind a router)- we did this, but I couldn't access his "desktop" or anything. I saw two folders, but can't remember what they are.
rodzilla - did you log in as a user or a guest? you prob saw the public folder if just a gueststupidresponse
- You need to login as them (with their user/pass), or get them to setup an account on the mac for youribit
- otherwise you only have access to their dropbox folderribit
