"you think a national francise has much less beaurocracy? They've got a lot of money ridding on a proper launch. I'm betting the research, strategy and all other elements that are behind this 'simple' website are well above 6 figures."
all of that money they spent is nothing more than a comfortable warm blanket for them to wrap around themselves, thinking that since it costs so much money, it must be that incredibly intelligent. like i said, a 15 year old could THINK UP, DESIGN, and EXECUTE everything you see on that silly site in a single day, yet no one would take him seriously because everyone's career is at stake here, and everyone is incredibly defensive of their jobs and the money they charge people for more ridiculously simple projects overall.
"The interface may be simple as shit, but the content, art direction, photography, positioning of the brand... all the stuff that really makes the website, is well considered. "
the content is BAREBONES, the art direction is not very flattering, and the photography is the only crispy looking thing there, and is the ONLY thing i could possibly imagine costing something reasonable for.
oh, wait, whats the rest of the art direction?
