I wouldn't get too excited about getting the new multi touch features on your existing Macbook. When Apple released it's current, two finger form, it was actually possible to be done on older ibooks and powerbooks with a bit of 3rd party software but Apple never made an official update to do it.
I imagine the next update will be another speedbump, slightly bigger trackpad with a thinner button and multitouch...
