My god Outlook 2007 is bad for html emails. I have to do a lot of them at work (the boss loves them) - however, she is the only one with Outlook 2007 installed - so I get dragged through coals everytime she sees a bug, even though I'm working completely blind (repeated reminders of that being the case seem to get ignored).
Short answer, just don't do them. If you have to, keep them as simple as possible. Campaign Monitor is good too, although we use our own php newsletter setup.
