I think hes asking how a designer can get to a point were he can do this kinda work without clients fucking it up with comments like " thats just a bunch of circles" or "is that just a sentence in helvetica"
ok maybe thats not his point, but its a valid one.
I think this work is really good, its the kinda design that makes you feel good about being a designer when you see it.
Unfortunately some clients dont go for some of that stuff.
+ like many people have mentioned, some of the stuff is personal work and designers usually show the work they like.
