18–35 is the young crowd of golf. the more sporting crowd (if there is one). Right off the colors seem almost feminine. the shape in both is very much in the "grey" area of birds, meaning it doesn't quite look like a finch or a sparrow, nor a duck or a pidgeon, it is very "generic" in its anatomy and is not reading well as a bird. The top one reads bird more, given that the wings provide more description to the form and also is hinting at motion.
I would safely say it conveys nothing of golf, only that of a name translated in one literal way.
Perhaps integrating golf and the name in your approach.
