I'm not having a personal stab Joshua. Really.
It *does* sound pretentious to me - but my opinion on "art" is quite literally not worth the pixels it is displayed on.
I am such a philistine that I once defaced a (art-student) flatmate's "cosmic womb" (cardboard box) he built in the attic replacing the words "cosmic womb" which were daubed on the structure with crayon with my own much more descriptive "pish studio".
Still friends with the cunt today, still think he's a hippy bastart.
